Florida-based Ryan Wendler is a solid commercial photographer, but his website was not doing him justice. By displaying his work in one, large overview gallery it was hard to get a range of his specialties or to see each image individually. So after a web edit with our photo editor, Andrew Souders, it was my job to find the best template to show his work.
Before Web Template Customization
We decided to go with a Squarespace template called Zion. Some of the main changes we made include customizing the landing page to highlight the categories organized by Andrew. We also organized the individual projects he’s done in the brand overview page. Here, visitors can see a linkable image, which takes them to a gallery for each project.
After Web Template Customization
The last step was to organize his contact information. We decided to consolidate his bio, contact information, and client list on one page, rather than have it spread out. This helped to make the focus of his website on the images.

My website now looks and feels the way I wanted it to. Andrew and Lindsay did all of the background work to set it up, but they provided clear instructions so that I can make updates or adjustments on my own as I shoot new work. They have also made sure I’m aware I can reach out to them if I have any questions or issues.
